Common forms of martial arts classes include karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Aikido and Judo. There is little cost variance among the different types, which are often offered for both children and adults. (Ninjutsu, Ninpo is a rare commodity!)

Fees for general in any martial arts classes for adults average $50 - $100 per month for studio members.
*Ninjutsu would run anywhere from $64-$200 mth.
with a annually Reg. fee from $125 & up.
The fee generally covers three classes or more per week.
Some studios charge yearly membership dues are as high as $150, and some require students to join a martial arts federation for an average of $80 annually.
Some studios that don't offer yearly memberships offer bundles instead, such as $200 to $250 for three months for unlimited classes.
Sessions for children costs 20 to 50 percent less than adult classes, and rates are usually set on a sliding scale based on a child's age.
Classes for ages 3 to 5 - could be an exception depending on the situation, but could be at a higher cost. (need be given a trial)
Classes for ages 5 to 12 average $45 to $60 per month and those for teenagers up to 18 average $60 to $85 per month.
Some studios offer family rates of around 10 to 20 percent less for two or more members.

Most schools offer sessions for different experience levels. Some studios offer up to a week of free classes if you are considering a membership. (3 days will be given with payment)
Sometimes the uniforms included with membership dues. (offer uniform and some gear free with 6mths to 1yr paid in full)
*Dojos usually provide safety gear for sparring during class. (not required in Ninjutsu)

Students may buy their own uniforms, shoes and protective items if they choose!
Depending on size and thickness of material;
Karate uniforms for $35 to $100.
Tae Kwon do uniforms cost $35 to $90.
Kung Fu uniforms cost $54 to $96, with jackets and pants often sold separately.
Judo uniforms cost $65 to $100.
*Ninjutsu uniforms cost anywhere from $65 to $350, depending on authenticity. (costs of Tabis not included)

Uniforms & Equipment are usually discounted to members when purchased through the dojo.
For sparring gear, it is often less expensive to buy protective items by the set for $110 to $180, which includes headgear, gloves and leg guards and a mouthpiece.
Some dojos charge as much as $250 in promotion fees, usually highest for the top ranking of black belt.
Seminars are important with one’s own training and that is if they would want to move up quicker $40 - $100

Monthly (day-to-day) program
Program fees each month: (yearly registration is $125)
(3 months commitment upon first time registration.) Student Guide Price: $25.00 CDN
1 class per week = $64 month
2 class per week = $75 month
3 class per week = $85 month
4 class per week = $90 month
5 class per week = $100 month
Unlimited classes per week = $150 month
Annually Registration fee of $125, is competitive for schools that own their own facility. We will keep this fee minus the cost for Hombu Reg, but offer promotional discounts to members for bringing in new students.
There are as many introductory promotional pricing packages as our dojo. All the programs are designed to draw or introduce the potential member to the dojo without requiring them to sign a long-term contract. All offer the same basic package which includes anywhere from 1-6 months training, 1-3 private classes with gi (uniform), and prices varying from $50 to $199...
Our value-pricing strategy:
We offer a very short introductory package of two personal training sessions and a gi for $199. If the potential member wants to continue, we will offer a six month introductory package at $499. After six months, if the potential member wants to continue we will offer the annual contract at $1,020 (with discounts for payment up front). Quarterly billing options will also be offered.
In addition, we will be working to identify other pricing structures and family discounts which address families and lower income students.

Membership Cards:
All members must have a membership card for the year, issued by Hombu Dojo.
There are two types of membership cards: general membership card and Shidoshi-kai
membership card.
The general membership card applies to members of the Dojo, whether
ungraded, Kyu-graded or Dan-graded.
The Shidoshi-kai membership card applies to those of Fifth Dan and above
(called Shidoshi)
General members must pay a yearly membership fee of $2,000Yen to Hombu Dojo,
in return for which they will be sent their membership card.
The yearly membership fee of the Shidoshi-kai is $15,000Yen.
Membership must be renewed every year.

RANK CERTIFICATES:

All Ontario Ninjutsu Kokuryu Dojo Ninjutsu / Budo Taijutsu kyu ranking certificates are issued and certified by Sensei.
Dan certificates can only be issued by Hombu Dojo.
CURRENT CERTIFICATION FEES: (*COST OF BELT EXTRA)

SHIDOSHI-O/SHIDOSHI CERTIFICATES:
Members of the Shidoshi-kai, of Fifth Dan and above, may apply to Hombu Dojo for licences up to Fourth Dan and award these to their students. The prices are as follows:
Shidoshi-ho are those from First Dan to Fourth Dan, and may award their students Kyu and Dan grades up to one below themselves. For example, a First Dan may award from Ninth Kyu up to First Kyu, and Second Dan may award up to First Dan, etc.
Shidoshi and Shidoshi-ho certificates cost $10,000Yen each.
Licences for Fifth Dan and above cost $30,000Yen each.
All money should be handed in to your Sensei in $CDN, wherever possible, in cash but if
necessary by a Post Office/Bank International Money Order. Other currencies or forms of
payment are not acceptable.
