DOJO POLICY & ETIQUETTE

学校政策とエチケット

Important To Remember!

Attendance

出席

All students are expected to attend or train in at least three sessions per week. Every attempt should be made to schedule outside activities around class meeting times. It is in the students own interest to obtain the maximum instruction possible.

Lateness

遅刻

Please respect your fellow students by arriving 15min before class starts. This is a group learning as well as an individual one. If you arrive after class has bowed in, wait at the entry of the dojo space in seiza until recognized by the instructor to come onto the mat space. remember to bow to the sensei teaching the class as well as to the dojo space.

Dojo Safety

道場安全

Attitude in the dojo is one of respect for yourself as well as for other students. This includes permission before using or handling any training equipment other than your own. Competition shall not be brought into training. We train for growth and understanding. Voilence and aggression is a statement of weakness, not strength. Treat your training partner with respect. Blades with a cutting egde must be brought to the Instructor's attention or the situation will be handled accordingly by Sensei. Live blades are only allowed on the mat during special training (schedule). No gum is allowed on the mat. remove your jewelry before training or it is your responsibilty.

Other Martial Arts

格闘技

While we acknowledge, respect, and perhaps even practice other Martial Art systems at times in our training, we must keep in mind that this dojo is a Ninjutsu training hall. It is for this reason that we gather and train. We will assume that anyone performing any other system has already mastered all aspects of Ninjutsu that he or she needs to learn. The practice of arts other than Ninjutsu shall be practiced alsewhere or at another time unless brought up by Sensei Teaching.

Dress Code

ドレスコード

The proper dress code requires for the beginners a White Gi (uniform) worn with socks and then later you would be required to acquire a modern Black Gi (uniform) worn with tabi boots (indoor & outdoor) and NOT a ninja hooded garment or camo military clothes.

Wear a belt that matches your current ranking as written below with patches and stars to indicate levels within those colored belts. patches should be worn on the Gi in proper places with the circular ONKD patch on the left shoulder and the Ninpiden Hombu patch on the front side over the heart.
